(FixThisNation.com) – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has recently received some jabs and attacks from former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) as an attempt to diminish his potential candidacy before he even joins the race.

Christie, who is openly considering his own 2024 presidential run, following his unsuccessful run in the 2016 GOP primary race, is taking advantage of the opportunity that has arisen now that DeSantis is losing some of his previous support ahead of launching his widely expected campaign in late spring or early summer.

Christie recently criticized DeSantis for his ongoing feud with Disney as well as some of his recent comments about Trump. These recent jabs from Christie come at a time when DeSantis saw several of his state’s GOP lawmakers officially endorsing Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

While neither Christie nor DeSantis has announced a presidential bid, these recent remarks show that Christie is pushing to stay on top of what is occurring in the GOP field.

In the past week, Christie has also had his name featured in many headlines with his recent appearance at a Semafor event, on the Republican strategist-run “Ruthless” podcast, and at an event in New Hampshire.  In regards to DeSantis’ feud with Disney, Christie noted that if he was “offended by the Reedy Creek District” why did he not take any action during his first four years as governor? He added that it is hard to believe that the governor did not already know that “Disney had its own governing body” and that if he really did not know then he is “incompetent.”
