The former Indiana governor has taken multiple different choices that make it appear as if he is considering a candidacy. These included visits to many early primary states including Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, as well as publishing a memoir. He has further been open about his position on certain issues, and he has been a vocal supporter of the U.S. continuing to provide support to Ukraine.
Trump has already entered the 2024 presidential race, while DeSantis is widely expected to also announce his own presidential bid this summer.
Finally, Pence has taken a very clear position against Trump regarding the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. However, while he does not agree with Trump’s actions, he has also noted that he would oppose a subpoena that was sent out by the Department of Justice in relation to their probe.
