(FixThisNation.com) – Senator Scott (R-SC) has teased that there will be a major announcement on May 22nd during a town hall on Sunday. Many are speculating that Scott is preparing to launch his presidential campaign for 2024.

In a recent event in Charleston, South Carolina, Scott told his supporters that “it is time to make the final step,” on May 22nd. He then proceeded to urge them to tell their friends that they should be in attendance, and teased that a huge announcement would be happening and that people would “want to be there.”

In an interview with Fox News last week, Scott said that he was hoping to make a decision on whether or not he would join the race by the end of May. This is also part of the reason why many believe that 22nd May is going to be the date that he announces his presidential bid.

If he joins the race, Scott will be competing in the GOP primary against former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Haley, former President Trump, and former Arkansas Governor Hutchinson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Former Vice President Pence, Governor DeSantis, New Hampshire Governor Sununu,  and former NJ Governor Christie are also widely expected to join the presidential race, despite none of them having made an announcement about entering the race.

DeSantis in particular is expected to join the presidential race after the end of the Florida legislature session. Pence on the other hand during a recent interview with Fox News said that in “weeks” people would have a clearer idea of whether or not he is going to be running.
