(FixThisNation.com) – On Monday, the reelection campaign for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris announced a record-breaking financial milestone, revealing that they currently have $117 million available. This figure is being touted as the largest sum any Democratic candidate has ever had at this stage of a presidential race.

The Biden-Harris campaign, along with their joint fundraising committees and the Democratic National Committee, reported raising over $97 million in the final quarter of 2023. This achievement follows their third-quarter fundraising efforts, where they gathered more than $71 million and had nearly $91 million in cash reserves. In the second quarter of the same year, the campaign raised over $72 million and had $77 million in cash.

Highlighting their grassroots fundraising strategy, the campaign celebrated this financial feat early Monday, emphasizing the widespread and growing support at the grassroots level. Julie Chávez Rodríguez, the campaign manager for Biden-Harris, expressed pride in this achievement in a statement, noting the commitment of their supporters and the readiness of the coalition to secure victory in the upcoming November elections. Chávez Rodríguez also pointed out the significant early and sustained backing that is contributing to the expansion of their operations nationwide.

This announcement arrives just hours before the Iowa caucuses and two weeks before the filing deadline for candidates. While most Republican presidential candidates have not yet disclosed their fourth-quarter fundraising totals, Republican candidate Nikki Haley has shared her figures, having raised $24 million and ending the quarter with $14.5 million on hand.

TJ Ducklo, the senior adviser for communications for the Biden-Harris campaign, confidently stated that they anticipate significantly outperforming their Republican counterparts in fundraising.

The campaign also shared that 97% of their donations in the fourth quarter were under $200, averaging at $41.88 per donation. Since the inception of the campaign, they have received support from nearly one million contributors, resulting in more than 2.3 million total contributions. Additionally, they noted that one-third of their donors since the 2020 campaign are new to the fold.
