(FixThisNation.com) – President Biden, after delivering a speech in the White House’s East Room about his plans for expanding mental health care access, was awaited by reporters who wanted to inquire about his thoughts on the House Republicans’ plans to have him impeached.

While the reporters were asking their questions on Tuesday, Biden dismissed and even laughed at many of the questions directed at him that related to impeachment. One of the moments from the session was shared on social media. In the clip, Biden can be seen passing before the group of reporters while smiling.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., previously stated that Republican lawmakers were looking into the possibility of impeaching Biden over his possible financial misconduct. On Tuesday, McCarthy even answered questions about the investigation into the Biden family’s finances and claimed that launching an impeachment inquiry would allow Congress to gather all the evidence to determine whether or not Biden had been involved in any wrongdoing.

If House Republicans want to bring articles of impeachment forward then an impeachment inquiry would be the first step. The investigation could be quick or lengthy depending on the House’s efforts and decisions, and could potentially continue going throughout the campaign season.

Many Republicans including the members of the Freedom Caucus are in favor of impeachment. Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., claimed that the House would have an “uprising” against Biden if there was no attempt to try and remove him. He proceeded to say that the evidence against Biden continued to pile up and they were a lot more serious than what former President Donald Trump had done with the “papers.”
