(FixThisNation.com) – Hunter Biden’s legal representative conveyed his readiness to speak in an open setting after being summoned by the House Oversight Committee Chair, James Comer. Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, has issued a subpoena to Hunter Biden, the President’s brother, and their associate Rob Walker, as reported by Fox News.

The legal action follows Comer’s extended investigation into the Biden family’s alleged unofficial representation for foreign entities. Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, criticized the summons as being politically motivated, branding it a diversion from the Republicans’ inability to substantiate their claims about the Biden family.

Lowell asserts that despite the political nature of the inquiry, Hunter Biden is prepared to discuss the issues with the Committee when appropriate. Earlier, Comer revealed on Forbes the supposed mechanism by which the Bidens leveraged President Joe Biden’s influence in dealings with a Chinese energy company, CEFC.

The committee previously demanded banking records from both Hunter and James Biden in September, prompting further scrutiny over President Biden’s potential awareness or involvement in his family’s business activities.

Comer detailed an alleged sequence of transactions involving a $5 million payment to Hunter Biden from a CEFC affiliate, followed by a subsequent $40,000 payment to Joe Biden. He described this as part of a purported scheme by the Biden family to conceal the origin of funds from China.

Comer outlined the complex financial exchanges, including a $400,000 payment from Hudson West III, tied to Hunter Biden, to another entity he controlled, and subsequent transactions involving James and Sarah Biden, culminating in a $40,000 check to Joe Biden labeled as ‘loan repayment.’

This forthcoming testimony from Hunter Biden is set to contribute to a broader impeachment inquiry as Republicans investigate whether President Biden has misused his office or committed impeachable offenses.
