( – President Biden went to the movie theater to see “Oppenheimer” with his wife, Jill Biden on the night that former President Donald Trump was indicted in connection to his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

The Biden’s are currently on vacation in Rehoboth and have spent the past few days visiting restaurants in the area prior to their visit to the movie theater at 6:30 p.m. where they were going to see “Oppenheimer” the movie about the real-life physicist portrayed by Cillian Murphy.

While the Bidens were enjoying their evening, Trump was indicted by a Washington grand jury on four different charges relating to his attempts to remain in the White House after the 2020 presidential election. Special Counsel Jack Smith in the 45-page indictment claimed that Trump had gone on a campaign of “dishonesty, fraud and conceit” and had tried to block one of the key democratic functions.

On Monday, Biden revealed during a podcast interview that the White House movie theater had access to new movie releases, however, it is unclear whether or not he saw other big box office hits from this summer such as “Barbie.”

The president has also revealed that he is not a big fan of television. When asked in the interview which show is the best depiction of Washington, he joked that it was in fact the movie “Mission Impossible.” He then added that he was joking but that he did not watch a lot of television so he didn’t know.
