(FixThisNation.com) – On Monday, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tweeted that former President Donald Trump should consider selling Trump Tower in order to cover all of his legal bills following his three different indictments.

Christie and Trump are going to be facing off in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Recently it was revealed in a report in The New Times that the Save America PAC which is supporting Trump’s nomination has spent over $40 million in legal fees for Trump in the past years.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings which became available on Monday specifically show that the PAC has spent over $21 million on legal fees in the last year and an additional $16 million in the last two years. The PAC has also called for a refund on a $60 million contribution they had made to a different group supporting Trump, but have so far managed to retrieve only $12 million of that money.

Christie in a tweet questioned why Trump was using the money of middle-class donors to cover his legal fees despite the fact that he is a billionaire. He argued that the reason he was doing that is because he loved not using his own money but rather using other people’s money. He then argued that if he needed to come up with the money he could sell Trump Tower, which is currently valued at $161 million.

Christie had previously been an ally of Trump during the previous presidential elections however, he is now one of the former President’s biggest critics.
