(FixThisNation.com) – On Thursday, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) during an interview on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” argued that the United States Supreme Court needed to be placed in the Republican National Committee (RNC) headquarters following the information about some of the justices supporting the presidential immunity argument made by former President Donald Trump.
He argued the Supreme Court should be moved to the RNC as currently the way they were behaving was as if they were “partisan operatives.”
On Thursday, Trump’s attorney D. John Sauer who is representing him in the immunity case oral arguments had claimed that his client during his time in office could have hypothetically even had the military murder some of his political rivals and that he would still not be able to be prosecuted because of presidential immunity.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor had asked Sauer if there were any “fundamentally evil” actions including potentially using the military to get rid of their political adversaries. The attorney had to reply to a variety of scenarios from judges who were serving in the highest court in the nation and had repeatedly answered for the majority of the scenarios that they would be covered by presidential immunity as they would be official acts from the president.
Raskin who had previously been a part of the House select committee tasked with the investigation of the Jan. 6, Capitol attack, slammed Justice Samuel Alito over his assertion that if Trump were to face criminal prosecution it would only encourage his supporters to take part in “more violent coups” aiming to keep Trump in office.
