(FixThisNation.com) – A number of recent special election victories have reinvigorated the Democrat’s hope of winning in the 2024 election as the party is struggling to deal with the low approval ratings of President Joe Biden. In the last year, the Democratic party has managed to have several important wins across the country.
In Ohio, they managed to win an abortion-related measure, while in New Hampshire they managed to come on top in the state House race in a district that had been won in 2020 by former President Trump. These elections that are happening throughout the year will often not make national headlines, but still, they are an important way of waging what the current political environment is.
For the Democrats, the environment currently appears to be optimistic especially as it is likely that President Biden and Trump are going to have a rematch for the White House in 2024. The President’s approval rating is currently at 41 percent with many voters expressing concerns over his age. According to a recent Monmouth University Poll Trump had come out Trump is currently leading the presidential race but only by one percent.
Antjuan Seawright, a democratic strategist stated in relation to the recent victories that they are a reflection of all the victories that the Democrats have delivered to the American people, arguing further that every constituency in this country had benefited from the way that the Democrats were leading, including their legislative agenda. Seawright further pointed out that the elections were a reflection of what voters, and particularly Black voters, were going to cast their votes.
