(FixThisNation.com) – On Tuesday Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized President Biden claiming that he was placing more attention on sending humanitarian aid to Gaza rather than on rescuing the Israeli and American hostages taken by Palestinian militant group Hamas.

On Tuesday in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, DeSantis argued that there were Israeli and American hostages being held by Hamas but Biden’s focus was on providing “humanitarian aid” to Gaza which would be exploited by the Hamas terrorists. He added that rather than sending money to Hamas, Biden should instead work on freeing up all the Israeli and American hostages.

DeSantis in his post included a screenshot of a news article from Reuters with a headline about how Israel and the U.S. were preparing to provide aid to civilians in Gaza.

In a follow-up post, DeSantis alleged that the Palestinian leadership was providing Hamas with the funding to move against Israel. He added that the aid that Biden was looking to send to Gaza was just going to be used to fund even more terrorist activity.

Biden has been heavily criticized for not doing more in order to secure the release of the American hostages that were captured on Oct. 7 following the Hamas attack in Israel.

Following the attack DeSantis signed an executive order that allowed his state to start sending supplies and planes to Israel in order to assist the Americans who were looking to escape the country. Earlier this week he announced that a flight carrying around 270 Americans had landed in Tampa Bay, Florida from Israel.
