(FixThisNation.com) – Viktor Shokin, former Ukrainian Prosecutor General, in an exclusive Fox News interview, claimed that President Biden had pushed for his dismissal as he was investigating Burisma, a natural gas company in Ukraine, which had Hunter Biden on its board.
During the interview, Shokin told Brian Kilmeade that he was fired in 2016 because of the investigation he was leading into Burisma. He proceeded to argue that at the time, then-Vice President Joe Biden, and his son Hunter Biden had accepted bribes related to this case. He argued further that Joe Biden’s actions at the time had harmed the U.S.’s reputation and that the only reason he was fired was because of the pressure that Biden had put on the Ukrainian President.
The interview which aired on Saturday evening, included Shokin’s allegations that Ukrainian President Poroshenko had only fired him because of his investigation into Burisma, which had led to the then-vice President putting pressure on it. He added that there had not been any complaints about his performance at the job which would have explained his dismissal, and that it had all been because of the pressure Biden was putting on the then-Ukrainian President.
This is not the first time that Shokin has made these allegations. Shokin was fired in March 2016, only one year after his appointment. At the time the international community had been led to believe by Biden that Shokin had been allowing corruption in the Ukrainian government.
In 2015, during a trip to Kyiv, Ukraine, Biden had called for Shokin to be fired and had pushed for the Ukrainian President to address corruption in his country.
