(FixThisNation.com) – Marc Thiessen, a Washington Post columnist and Fox News pundit took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to attack the foreign policy proposal of GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy arguing that it was “criminally stupid.”
Ramaswamy in an article released by The American Conservative focused on what his approach would be in handling the war in Ukraine and the relations with Beijing. In response to the article Thiessen claimed that the policy was “criminally stupid.” He then proceeded to quote Ramaswamy in stating that it is “Like a freshman foreign policy paper. Utterly disqualifying.”
The comment from Ramaswamy’s piece related to how the White House had promised that they would accept the control that Russia was exerting over the occupied territories. They had also vowed that they would not allow Ukraine to enter NATO and in exchange, Russia and China would no longer have a military alliance.
Ramaswamy in his piece also mentions that he would completely end the sanctions placed on Russia and would allow the country to enter the global market again. Finally, he also added that he was going to reduce the level of involvement that the U.S. had in international affairs and that the U.S. had previously wasted its opportunity to become the only superpower after the Cold War by allowing China and Russia to cooperate.
The presidential candidate also stated that if elected he was going to visit Russia in 2025 to negotiate the terms for ending the war in Ukraine. Previously Ramaswamy was the only candidate in the primary debate who had stated that he would stop supporting Ukraine.
