(FixThisNation.com) – On Thursday, Presidential candidate Nikki Haley blasted former President Donald Trump’s foreign policy during a campaign stop in Portsmouth, N.H.
Hailey was asked about how Trump was going to be remembered as a President, to which she responded by complementing the former President and avoiding being too negative about the frontrunner of the Republican presidential primary race. She then argued that at that time he had been the “right president” and that “He broke things that needed to be broken.” She further claimed that he had given a voice to people who had previously felt unheard.
However, despite praising Trump, she also criticized him for getting distracted easily and not having tough skin. She added that he had not taken any fiscal policy action and that during his administration he had spent a lot of money, which is something that the U.S. is now paying the price of. She further pointed out that while previously he had approached his foreign policy well, he was now becoming weak in his position regarding Ukraine.
Trump has not been an adamant supporter of providing military aid to Ukraine, while Haley has been a strong supporter of the Eastern European country. Trump has also repeatedly claimed that if he wins back the White House he is going to put an end to the war within a day, however, he has failed to disclose how this will be achieved. He has also pushed for them to slow down in providing aid to Ukraine. Other candidates in the GOP presidential race have argued that the U.S. should completely stop sending aid to Ukraine.
