(FixThisNation.com) – On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris’ spokesperson slammed the report that Harris had been pushing President Biden to exhibit more concern for the Palestinian people in Gaza, following the war in Israel against Hamas.

Politico in a recent report alleged that Harris had been pushing her White House colleagues, including President Biden, to show more sensitivity for the humanitarian situation in Gaza, as thousands of people have lost their lives as a result of the Israeli strikes. The report was based on the claims of three sources who were familiar with the comments made by the vice President.

Harris’s press secretary Kirsten Allen pointed out in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter that as she had previously informed Politico there has not been, nor was there now any “daylight between the President and Vice President. She further cautioned that the media needed to be more careful when referring to anonymous  “sources” who did not know about their private conversations. Politico referred to one source who had stated that the United States needed to take a tougher stance on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that the country needed to push for a two-state solution.

The report came almost two weeks after Harris’s visit to Dubai following a climate conference where she had met with Arab officials to talk about the Israel-Hamas war. During that visit, Harris had stated that there were many innocent Palestinians who had been killed and that the scale of suffering faced by civilians in Gaza was “devastating.”
