(FixThisNation.com) – South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) recently told Newmax’s Eric Bolling that former President Donald Trump should not choose Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley as his running mate.

Bolling specifically asked Noem whether she believed it would be a mistake on Trump’s end if he chose to have Haley as his vice presidential pick. Noem promptly responded “yes.” However she proceeded to argue that if he did end up choosing Haley she would tell Trump that she disagreed with the choice, but she would still support Trump’s ticket as he would be the President and thus the person making the decisions.

Previously Noem had stated that if Trump asked her to be his running mate she would do so “in a heartbeat.” In September, Trump stated that he liked “the concept” of having a woman as his running mate but that he had not yet considered who he would select.

The rumored candidates that Trump could choose from include Noem and Haley. Haley is going against Trump in the 2024 presidential primary in an attempt to win the Republican nomination.

Noem proceeded to note that over the years she and Haley had often disagreed and that the one thing she did not know was “which Nikki Haley” was going to be the one showing up on any given day. She argued that Haley changes who she is based on her political agenda. She added that what she loved about Trump was that he was always “genuine” which she argued was something that the American people also loved about him.
