(FixThisNation.com) – Representative Lauren Boebert (R) is seen in a new video throwing into the trash a pin that commemorates the Uvalde school shooting. The pin specifically depicts a pair of Green Converse shows which are honoring Maite Rodriguez, who was one of the 19 children who lost their lives on May 2022 during the school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas. This is considered to be the deadliest school shooting in the last decade.

On Tuesday many members of organizations shared a video on Twitter which shows that the pin was given out in the Congress halls by members of March For Our Lives, an organization that is focused on ending gun violence in the country, along with Lives Robbed, an organization created by the families of the school children that had been murdered at Robb Elementary.

On Tuesday, in the video that was posted an unknown member of the organization was speaking with Boebert. He then proceeded to give Boebert the pin informing her that it was created in memory of Rodriguez who had been killed during the Uvalde massacre and had been wearing green shoes on that day. Boebert does not acknowledge the individual but instead takes the paper with the pin and throws it in the trash.

The camera shows, in the end, a shot of the trash can, with the photograph and pin that Boebert had thrown away. The pins were created by Gina Gennari as a symbol of those who had been lost in mass shootings that could have been prevented.

Gennari revealed that she was not surprised but rather revolted by Boebert’s actions. As she argued this only makes her want to work harder to promote conversations about limiting firearms.
