(FixThisNation.com) – On Wednesday, Oklahoma proceeded to provide guidance to school districts on how the Bible should be added to lesson plans. Last month, the move to include the Bible in lessons became mandatory by the state.
The guidance was written by Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters who noted that during teaching the focus should be on the historical, artistic, and literary influences of Biden. Walters told the Washington Examiner that the “radical leftist mob” had attempted to rewrite history, but that in Oklahoma they were focused on ensuring that kids would receive an education that would inform them about the value of the bible and the historical context of the religious text. He added that this is not something that woke radicals are going to approve of, but that it will be taught in Oklahoma.
The guidance stated that the focus is going to be on how the Bible played a role in the development of Western civilization, and provided information on how the teachings should be introduced to the different age groups.
Walters argued that the Bible was “indispensable” in helping to understand how Western civilization was formed and to understand U.S. history. He noted that they were ensuring with these teachings that all of their students were going to be properly taught the Bible and its literary, cultural, and historical context.
While there are some teachers in the state who have claimed that they are not going to be including the Bible in their lesson plans, Walters has clearly stated that the teachings are mandatory.
