(FixThisNation.com) – On Thursday, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene questioned why there were no more charges filed against Hunter Biden after he was indicted on three felony charges relating to his purchase of a firearm in 2018.
Special counsel David Weiss states in the indictment that Hunter Biden had lied about his addiction when he had brought from a federally licensed firearms dealer a Colt Cobra 38SPL in October of 2018. He also alleges that Biden had kept the firearm for 11 days despite being aware that he was using drugs and other controlled substances and was violating federal law.
Weiss was appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to act as special counsel in this case in August. With this appointment, he was given extended legal jurisdiction to handle his probe into Hunter Biden. Former President Donald Trump had appointed Weiss, who was a Delaware attorney, to oversee the probe into Hunter Biden since its launch in 2018.
Greene in her post on X, formerly known as Twitter, questioned why Hunter Biden was only facing three counts in connection to illegally purchasing and possessing a firearm. She also questioned why he was not facing any indictments for tax fraud, laundering money, sex trafficking, or violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
The House Republicans have maintained that Hunter Biden had made shady foreign business dealings in China and Ukraine.
The recent indictment against Hunter Biden comes after the previous “sweetheart” plea deal he had been given fell through. At the time Weiss had charged him with illegal possession of a firearm and two counts of failing to pay his federal income tax.
