(FixThisNation.com) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is attempting to reassure the GOP that his health is strong while House Republicans have still not managed to elect a new Speaker. McConnell, who has suffered a couple of freezing incidents in recent months, has claimed to be “completely recovered” now.

On Sunday McConnell appeared on two different talk shows to push forward a supplemental package that would allow the U.S. to send additional funding to Ukraine to support the country in its ongoing war with Russia, while also providing funding to Israel which is at war with Hamas, a Palestinian militant group in control of Gaza.

During his appearance on CBS “Face the Nation” McConnell told moderator Margaret Brennan that he was fully recovered and in “good shape.” He further claimed that he was back to work.

McConnell in recent months has had two different incidents where he froze in front of reporters. The most recent of these occurred in late August during an appearance in front of reporters in Covington, Ky. The previous freeze had occurred a month earlier while McConnell was answering questions in front of Capitol reporters.

McConnell’s team has claimed that both of the incidents were the result of the Senator being lightheaded, while the Capitol’s attending physician Brian Monahan claimed that McConnell had not suffered from a seizure, Parkinson’s disease, or a stroke.

McConnell is currently the top Republican in Congress as the House is in its third week without having selected a new House Speaker. The government’s funding is also going to expire within less than a month and the two wars have recently been a top priority.
