(FixThisNation.com) – Nikki Haley took a dig at George Stephanopoulos for dismissing her suggestion Biden wouldn’t complete his White House term.
On Tuesday, Haley took to X to repost a video of her appearance last August on ABC’s “Good Morning America” (GMA), where she suggested voting for President Joe Biden really meant voting for Vice President Kamala Harris. She captioned the video, “Believe me now, George?”
Last summer, during an intense exchange with Stephanopoulos, the then-GOP presidential candidate declared that “There is no way” Biden would “finish his term.” Haley predicted Harris would be the next President, stating that fact “should send a chill up every American’s spine.”
Stephanopoulos interjected, querying how Haley knew Biden wouldn’t “finish his term,” asking her what the statement is “based on?”
Haley replied by telling the ABC host to “Ask Americans” and “look at the decline [Biden’s] had over the last few years.”
The former GOP Presidential candidate’s dig comes amid calls from Democrats for Biden to step aside following his terrible debate performance. Some lawmakers have suggested Harris replace him.
During last Thursday’s debate, Biden appeared worse for wear, repeatedly stumbling over his words, losing his train of thought, and incoherently stringing ideas together. The performance unearthed concerns within his party that the President didn’t have the mental acuity for a second term.
However, since Biden had already won over the most delegates, clinching the Democratic nomination, it would be up to him to step aside.
According to a CNN poll published Tuesday, Harris, a potential Biden replacement, now polls closer to Trump than the President.
