(FixThisNation.com) – Former biotech executive and millionaire Vivek Ramaswamy stated that on Tuesday he is planning on joining former President Donald Trump in court. Trump, who is the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, is forced to spend his days in the New York court where his hush money trial is playing out.

Ramaswamy, who had previously run in the Republican primary, had his spokesperson confirm that he would be sitting in at the criminal trial in New York. In a statement, he argued that the “best proof” they could show that the trial is a “sham” is the fact that even if Trump had done the “opposite” of what he is accused of he would still be facing prosecution.

Ramaswamy is set to be on Trump’s shortlist for potential vice president picks. In the past, he has spoken up against the several legal cases that have been brought forward against Trump, and he has argued that the criminal justice system has been weaponized against Trump in order to block him from coming back to the White House.

In April, during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity, the former presidential candidate argued that all of the legal cases against Trump were backfiring. He added that people were tired of the lawfare and of being lied to.

He further pointed out that many Democrats who he had talked with disagreed with Trump on policy and still were against the use of prosecutorial power in order to block your opponents in a political race.
