(FixThisNation.com) – Congressional Republicans have pushed forward the Dismantle DEI Act which would completely ban all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs that currently exist in the federal government.

On Wednesday, Sen J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, introduced the new legislation that would bring an end to all programs and funding for DEI-related things within government agencies. Vance stated in his announcement that the DEI agenda was “destructive” and that it just caused racial division. As he stated there was no place for these things within the U.S. government or society.

He added that he was proud to have brought forward the legislation that will root out the DEI from the federal bureaucracy and is going to be eliminating funding for such programs and policies everywhere they exist in the federal government. As he pointed out, American taxpayer dollars should not be used to spread divisive ideology and through this bill, he would ensure that they were not.

The bill is co-sponsored by Sens. Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Eric Schmitt, R-Mo.

Schmitt in his own statement argued that dismantling these policies and programs was a key priority and that he was proud to have joined the efforts of Senator Vance.

Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas, who is sponsoring the bill in the House also argued that these programs fostered racial bias and division and that the bill was necessary to restore equality within the government. He added that it was “absurd” to use American tax dollars to fund these programs and that they needed to put an end to them for good.
