(FixThisNation.com) – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) stated during a recent interview with CNN’s Manu Raju on Wednesday that he had not seen any evidence to suggest that President Joe Biden had been in any way involved in the foreign business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden.

On Wednesday, the Senator stated that he continued to have the same position he has had since 2019 and noted that currently if there is indeed an indication that there had been some wrongdoings, especially in connection to China, he did not have any evidence of it.

He proceeded to state that based on the current facts he is not in a position to claim that the President is guilty of something.

These latest statements come after Hunter Biden’s recent appearance at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. Hunter had defied a subpoena from the House Republicans as he refused to testify in a closed-door deposition. The House GOP’s inquiry is related to Joe Biden’s potential involvement in his son’s business dealings.

Hunter Biden has repeatedly rejected the request for a closed-door deposition but has stated that he is open to testifying in a public setting.

Later on Wednesday, the House GOP held a vote for the formalization of the impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden, with 221-212 votes along party lines. As part of the impeachment inquiry lawmakers are going to be looking into the business and personal finances of all relevant Biden family members including Hunter Biden’s failure to pay the necessary taxes.
