(FixThisNation.com) – A road rage altercation has resulted in a Florida man facing charges of battery and child abuse following the alleged assault of teens in Walton County. The Friday incident occurred in Texas and the weapon in this case turned out to be white spray paint.
In a Facebook post, Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s office wrote that the incident had taken place on Aug. 4 and that the deputies had responded to the incident that had occurred on Kuykendahl Road in Houston.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they were informed that the complaint was related to a driver who was distracted by their phone while driving. When the two cars had come to a stop before the light, the distracted driver had failed to start moving when the light turned green. The other driver proceeded to honk their horn but it was to no avail.
That was when Davis Winston, the distracted driver in this incident, decided to throw an object at the victim’s vehicle. After a time, the two vehicles came to a stop which is when the physical altercation occurred. Winston reportedly used a white spray paint can to paint both the victim’s vehicle and face. He also reportedly broke the back window of the vehicle. The victim eventually managed to get a hold of the can and opted to spray paint Winston’s face as well.
Winston was detained by deputies and was taken to the Harris County Jail where his bond was set for $1,500.
