(FixThisNation.com) – Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) appeared on Tuesday on “Fox & Friends” where he noted that it was necessary for the southern border to be secured and for common sense policies to be implemented. Following his visit to the southern border the governor argued that it would be beneficial for the “Remain in Mexico” policy to be reinstated.
As he argued there is already material at the border for the securing of the border. He added that the American people wanted to have a more secure border and that this was not a question related to proper immigration. As he pointed out, his state has a “great Hispanic population” that includes people who are contributing members of society and who have legally entered the country.
Stitt further claimed that anyone who did not want the border to be secured did not “have a brain” and that currently there are many terrorists who are on terrorist watchlists that have entered through the border. As he pointed out, this mass migration into the U.S. has grown because people know that even after being caught they are going to be released back into the country while also getting access to a number of services.
He proceeded to note that this was a problem and that the Biden administration needed to return to the “Remain in Mexico” policy which was implemented during the Trump administration.
Recently it was revealed that the Biden administration has been auctioning off the material that was purchased for the creation of the border wall, in an attempt to get ahead of the Republicans who were trying to pass legislation that would force them to finish the construction of the wall.
