(FixThisNation.com) – Law enforcement in Silt, Colorado is investigating an incident relating to an alleged physical altercation between Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Jayson Boebert, her ex-husband, which occurred at a restaurant in the area on Saturday night.

Silt Police Chief Mike Kite previously confirmed that there was an incident at Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt and that they were investigating it. However, he refused to provide any additional information regarding the nature of the incident and instead only confirmed the involvement of Boeber and her ex-husband.

The incident was first reported by The Daily Beast, where it was stated that there had been a physical altercation.

Kite had told The Denver Gazette that they would be viewing the surveillance footage from the incident. He added that the case would be dealt with in the same way that any other case would be dealt with.

On Monday, Rep. Boebert stated the Hill where she denied there was a physical altercation and stated that she would consult with her lawyer over the false claims being made against her.

Boebert argued that this was a “sad situation” and that this would be the reason she was moving. She added that she had not punched her former husband and that the incident had not resulted in any arrests.

Boebert had filed for divorce in 2023 after close to 18 years of marriage with her former husband. The pair share four sons.

This is not the first time that an incident surrounding Boebert’s behavior and interaction with law enforcement has been publicized as in September she removed from a “Beetlejuice” production.
