(FixThisNation.com) – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) in a recent interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” warned Iran that should they escalate the conflict between Israel and Hamas then the United States would be “coming for you.” Last week, Hamas launched a series of surprise attacks against Israel, which prompted an escalation in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian group.
Graham stated during the interview that he had talked with the Israelis whose goal was to completely destroy Hamas in the south, while also saving innocent Palestinians in Gaza. He added that they were also working to avoid any escalations from Hezbollah in the North. He added that he warns that should Hezbollah, which is an Iranian proxy, launch a massive attack against Israel then he would put forward a resolution in the United States Senate which would push the United States to take military action against Iran and their position in the oil business.
Following Hamas’ attack on Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war on the Palestinian militant group, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization. The war has so far led to over 3,600 people losing their lives in Gaza and Israel. Israel has also called for civilians to evacuate Gaza before they launch a potential group operation into Gaza.
Hamas and Hezbollah are allies, and in recent days Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged fire following the Hamas attack on the country.
Graham warned during the interview that he was in a position to use the military in order to destroy all funding going to Hezbollah and Hamas.
