(FixThisNation.com) – Former President Donald Trump while speaking to the press blasted New York Attorney General Letitia James stating that she was “grossly incompetent.” Trump made the statement right before entering the courtroom for the second day of his New York fraud trial and alleged that the information James had given the court about his assets and finances was “corrupt” and “misleading.”
Trump further stated that James’ entire campaign had been built on trying to “get” him even before she knew anything about him. He also pointed out that two of his properties were recently sold for a lot more than what the financial statements in the case claim they were worth, adding that the amounts in the statements were significantly lower than the actual worth of the properties. A false statement of worth was also given about Mar-a-Lago according to Trump in this statement.
The former President argued that the case in New York against him needed to be dismissed and that this was not really “a case.” He added that rather than James being focused on the case against him and spending half a year in a courthouse, she should instead turn her attention to addressing all the “violent criminals” in her state.
James, who brought forward the lawsuit against Trump, has alleged that Trump, his two eldest sons, and the Trump Organization have been committing fraud for decades. She is calling for them to pay $250 million in damages and to block Trump and his family from doing business in her state.
Justice Arthur Engoron found the defendants to be liable for fraud without a trial. A nonjury trial is now being used to examine James’ six claims against Trump.
