(FixThisNation.com) – In a recent post on his social media platform Truth Social, former President Donald Trump blasted GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie over how poorly he had performed in 2016 in the New Hampshire primary race. Trump pointed out that Chris Christie had done extremely poorly in the early primary state which was why straight after the counting of the votes he had opted to drop out of the race and had instead endorsed Trump.
Trump pointed out that even in New Jersey, where Christie was at the time serving as the Governor he had headed into the primary race with only 9 percent.
Apart from Christie, Trump also used his post to target Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) arguing that he had completely abandoned Florida in favor of campaigning for the presidential race.
On Friday, Christie put out his first campaign advertisement in which the narrator is claiming that he is the only presidential candidate who is actually trying to beat Trump in the race.
Thus far, in the GOP primary, Christie has framed himself as being an anti-Trump candidate. However, most of the other presidential candidates have chosen not to make any comments targeting former President Trump.
Christie’s campaign efforts have placed an important focus on New Hampshire, as he is hoping that winning support in the early primary race is going to allow him to continue gaining support in the primary races across the country. However, at the same time, there are many critics who have been calling for him to withdraw from the presidential race.
