(FixThisNation.com) – On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump argued that the GOP needed to no longer waste their time and once again reiterated that he was the frontrunner of the 2024 Republican nomination race. Trump also chose to not attend the third Republican primary debate that day and instead hosted one of his campaign rallies.
Trump’s rally was held around 15 miles from Miami, where five of his Republican primary rivals were debating on stage some of the key issues facing the country. At the same time Trump was in Hialeah, Fla., where he did not take a lot of time to address his rivals and instead reiterated that with only two months until the Iowa Caucuses he was his party’s front-runner.
Trump had previously called for the Republican National Committee to stop organizing primary debates for the 2024 presidential race, arguing that they were a waste of time considering his double-digit front-runner status. This was a point that he once again made on Wednesday night.
Trump argued specifically that the debates that were being used to “push weak and ineffective RINOs” were a waste of both time and resources and that no one wanted to vote for any of those candidates. He also called for all future debates to come to an end.
While talking to his supporters he also addressed those who claim he was wrong for not participating and who have argued that he did not have the “courage to stand up” despite him doing exactly that in front of thousands of people in an event that is being broadcasted on television.
