(FixThisNation.com) – On Sunday, former President Donald Trump’s attorney argued that his defense team did not need to question ex-Trump fixer Michael Cohen over his testimony as he had “completely collapsed” when he had taken the stand last week.

Last week Cohen had taken the witness stand in the New York hush money trial. Trump’s defense team had used the cross-examination to completely grill Trump’s defense team. Attorney Will Scharf argued during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday” that he believed that Cohen had collapsed during the cross-examination. He added that currently, they do not believe that there is a need to put into further question the credibility of Cohen, because he does not appear to have any.

Cohen was considered to be the star witness for the prosecution in this hush-money case. Trump is currently facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in relation to a hush money payment that had been made by Cohen on his behalf to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election in order to keep her quiet about their alleged affair. Trump has previously denied the affair and has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

“Fox News Sunday” anchor Shannon Bream specifically asked Scharf whether Cohen’s former legal adviser Robert Costello might take the witness stand. This was after Costello had told Fox News last week that he believed there was a chance that he would be called to provide his testimony in this case.
