(FixThisNation.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slammed the Democrats who are supporting the pro-Palestinian protesters arguing that they were only doing so for political gain.
Cruz, who is up for re-election in Texas against Rep. Collin Allred (D-Texas), had a Sunday interview with host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM where he slammed the Biden administration. He proceeded to argue that the pro-Palestine movement was influencing the Democratic party, while also attacking the party on its immigration and foreign policy position.
Cruz argued that the Democrat Party was paralyzed in handling the pro-Hamas rallies or dealing with them as they did not want to risk the votes. He continued by slamming the Democrats, school administrators, and the criminal justice systems for being too lenient on student protesters who overtook university campuses across the country and participated in pro-Palestine demonstrators.
As he pointed out in a case where one threatens another student, similar to how the Jewish students across U.S. campuses are being threatened then what should happen is that they would need to be arrested, prosecuted, and expelled.
This latest argument from Cruz comes after the latest arrest of 31 of 46 students for having participated in Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall occupation. However, these charges were dropped by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors ended up dropping the case after they determined that there was not enough evidence and criminal history in connection to the students who were arrested. Columbia has indicated that they are looking into potentially expelling the students who had been part of the campus protests.
