(FixThisNation.com) – On Tuesday, activist and author Monica Lewinsky argued on the social media platform X that the judge overseeing the Florida classified documents case against former President Donald Trump needed to be impeached.
In a post on X, she stated that she is angry over the Florida case claiming that it is “INSANE” that the case has not moved forward. She also argued that Judge Aileen Cannon needed to be impeached. As she proceeded to state if the documents were indeed declassified, as Trump claims, then all Trump had to do was xerox them and then send back the originals while providing information about them being declassified. In her post, she reiterated twice that the documents were not truly declassified.
Cannon has so far postponed the case indefinitely and has refused to set a trial date until all of the pretrial motions have been handled.
Lewinsky in her post added that if it had been a mistake then Trump would have just similarly returned the documents to the one followed by all other Presidents who were found to have in their possession classified material. She added that this judge has caused a lot of damage and danger.
Over the past few months, Cannon has faced a lot of criticisms over her handling of the case, with some people accusing her of having allowed the former president too much deference.
This week, former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele argued that the judge was essentially having “prosecution on trial.”
