(FixThisNation.com) – James Carville, a Democratic strategist, has wanted his party to be “careful” when exhibiting support for Vice President Kamala Harris and argued that the race ahead is tough.
On Wednesday in a MSNBC “Morning Joe” interview, Carville noted that there has been a change across the country following the announcement, but that they still needed to be careful. He added that the race up ahead is going to be hard.
Carville further cautioned that the presidential race is going to be a close one and that he understands the excitement that people are feeling but that this excitement would need to be tempered with a realistic understanding that Harris still has a tough campaign ahead of her. He added that there are many things that she needs to accomplish at the same time.
Harris, who is the presumptive Democratic nominee, has received a lot of support from Democratic Party members after the announcement by President Joe Biden on Sunday that he is not going to be seeking reelection. Carville pointed out that they now have to put together a campaign and accomplish within only a few weeks what most presidential campaigns have eight months to achieve.
He also pointed out that former President Donald Trump, who officially accepted the Republican nomination last week during the Republican National Convention also has a lot of support and a large part of Americans is supporting him. He added that all he means to say with this is that the Democrats should enjoy themselves but also get ready to get things done because there is a tough race ahead.
