(FixThisNation.com) – On Monday, Donald Trump Jr. told an MSNBC reporter to “get out of here” after being asked about his father’s immigration policies.
After Trump Jr. and his brother, Eric, had been approached for an on-air interview by MSNBC’s Jacob Soboroff, Trump Jr. touted his father’s accomplishments during his term as President.
Trump Jr. also rebuffed a question by Soboroff about former President Donald Trump being a “divisive figure,” insisting that it was the media that had created the “divisiveness” around the GOP leader.
The impromptu interview was conducted after Trump had officially become the Republican nominee, a mere two days after surviving an attempt on his life.
Trump Jr. insisted the media was to blame for his father’s apparent “divisiveness,” claiming the media “lied about Russia,” and had attacked the former President “in every possible way.”
The former President’s son noted that if the media had been “an honest broker” and reported on his father’s achievements, including the “peace deals” and “prosperity” during his term, they’d be doing the country a “big favor.”
However, the exchange became heated when Soboroff, author of “Separated: Inside an American Tragedy,” queried whether the former President would impose family separations for a “second” time should he win in November.
Trump Jr. fired back, “It’s MSDNC,” adding he “expected nothing from you clowns, even today.”
He noted that even though there had been an attempt on his father’s life 48 hours ago, the network “couldn’t wait” with its “lies” and “nonsense.” He concluded by telling Soboroff to “just get out of here,” before waving the reporter away and turning his attention to the convention stage.
