(FixThisNation.com) – Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) slammed the Supreme Court during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” arguing that it was “brazenly corrupt” and political while also defending the latest comments that were reported from President Joe Biden who had called the Supreme Court “out of kilter.”
Murphy argued during the interview that it was completely appropriate for the President to be making comments about the Supreme Court. He added that he would find it irresponsible if the commander-in-chief did not talk about the corrupt and political nature of the Supreme Court right now. He added that it was now up to the American people to elect people in Congress who would do something to pass an ethical conduct code for the country’s highest court.
The interview came at a time when there is an increased push to have Justice Samual Alito recuse himself from all cases, including former President Donald Trump’s case, relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and the attempts to influence the results of the 2020 presidential election. Recent reports have found that Alito has on two previous occasions flown outside of his house two flags that are associated with the attempts to keep Trump in power after he lost the election. Alito has refused to recuse himself from the case.
Following the 2020 election, Alito displayed outside of his home an upside-down American flag, which is a symbol that has been used by those who have protested the results of the 2020 presidential election.
In 2023 a different report noted that outside Alito’s New Jersey home, they had flown an “Appeal to Heaven” flag which is believed to be connected to the Revolutionary War and was spotted during the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol Attack.
