(FixThisNation.com) – On Thursday, First Lady Jill Biden argued that her husband, President Joe Biden’s age, is not a liability but rather a big asset.
During a Biden-Harris campaign stop in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Jill Biden claimed that the election was not about age. As she pointed out both of the major party candidates were pretty much the same age. She added that Joe Biden is “one of the most effective presidents” because of his age.
While President Joe Biden has received a lot of criticism for his age, 81, former President Donald Trump is not far off in age as he recently turned 78. This has resulted in a lot of national conversations being focused on the age of the two candidates.
For Biden in particular, his age has commonly been associated with his numerous gaffes and memory lapses which have resulted in many people questioning whether he has the mental acuity to be in the White House. More criticisms also came his way after Special Counsel Robert Hur in his report described Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
Jill Biden has frequently claimed that her husband’s age is an asset. Last month during an appearance on “The View” she once again pointed out that the two candidates are really close in age. However, as she pointed out the election was not about age but rather about character.
She added that this is why the American people had two options, Biden who has integrity and is a strong leader, or Trump who is chaos.
