(FixThisNation.com) – A new survey released by The Washington Post and ABC News showed that Americans dislike the idea of President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump winning another term in the White House.

Currently, there is a lack of enthusiasm surrounding both potential presidential candidates. If Biden and Trump win their respective parties’ nominations the 2024 election will be a rematch of the 2020 election.

However, while the candidates may be the same, there have been many changes in the past two years that have rendered the situation entirely different. Currently, both men are facing investigations by the Department of Justice on the classified documents that were found in their private residences. Trump is also facing an array of other legal challenges. Biden on the other hand has seen his approval rates plummet during his presidency because of the economic concerns caused by the high prices and high inflation rates.

According to the new poll around 56 percent of respondents would have a negative reaction to Trump winning a second term in the White House. Only 43 percent of respondents would be satisfied by Trump winning.

However, Biden’s rates were even lower, with 62 percent of respondents saying they would react negatively to a Biden win, while only 36 percent would react positively to Biden being reelected.

The poll also found that the majority of voters from both parties would prefer to support different candidates from their party instead of Trump or Biden. Specifically, 58 percent of Democrats said they would like a different nominee, while 49 percent of Republicans said they would like someone other than Trump.
