(FixThisNation.com) – On Sunday, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) stated during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the hush money case brought forward against former President Donald Trump in New York was “ridiculous.”

As she claimed this was the Democrat’s attempt at fighting through the judicial system and activist judges. She added that she was hopeful that the jury would do the right thing and that after seeing all of the evidence they would be able to see clearly that this trial is unprecedented in how “ridiculous it is.”

Noem, who is a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, has also claimed that the prosecutors needed to have brought this case forward years ago and not during an election season. For the next few weeks, Trump will be required to spend most of his time in a courtroom in Manhattan following the start of his hush money trial.

She added that she considered it a little ridiculous that they have waited for so many years to bring forward these charges, and that this case should have been filed years ago. As she pointed out it was convenient for them to be doing the campaign now, right as Trump was working to win back the White House, and it was a clear indication that all of this was “politically motivated.”

The comments are similar to the remarks that Trump and his allies had made as they have also stated that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) should have brought the case forward earlier if the case was not politically nominated.

Noem is said to be one of the people that Trump is currently considering as viable running mate options for his possible second term in the White House.
