(FixThisNation.com) – On Wednesday night, former President Donald Trump hosted Polish President Andrzej Duda at the Trump Tower. Trump is currently in the city as he is required to be in attendance throughout his hush money trial.
During his first term in the White House, Trump had maintained a good relationship with Duda. The Polish President is a well-known advocate of Ukraine in the fight against Russia. However, the former President has recently expressed skepticism in regards to the United States providing additional aid to Ukraine. He has also slammed the NATO alliance, which Poland is a member of.
When talking about Duda, Trump argued that he was doing a really great job and that the Polish people really loved him. He continued by saying that the two of them were friends as they had spent four years together.
Following the meeting, the Trump campaign issued a readout in which it was noted that the two men had a discussion for two and a half hours and had talked about the war in Ukraine, as well as the war in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas.
They also talked about Duda’s proposal which would call for all NATO members to spend 3 percent of their GDP on defense. As a member state sharing a border with Ukraine, Poland could find itself in a dangerous position depending on how the Russian takeover of Ukraine proceeds. If Russia tries to make a move on Poland it could lead to a global war as all of the NATO allies would help Poland.
