(FixThisNation.com) – On Friday, a family member of Jonathan Diller, the New York City Police officer who recently lost his life while on duty, put the blame for the death on New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

The family member had reportedly told the governor during Diller’s wake that the officer’s “blood” was on Hochul’s hands. A source had further claimed that the family member had started scolding Hochul and telling her that she was not wanted and that she had blood on her hands. They had also pushed that if Hochul wanted to do something then what she needed to do was alter the “bail laws.”

On Monday night, 31-year-old Diller had been shot while in the line of duty. He leaves behind a wife and 1-year-old son.

This is the first time in two years that a New York City police officer has been killed while in the line of duty. His remains were escorted by a New York Police Department officer procession to a Long Island Church where on Saturday his funeral service had taken place.

Police have stated that Diller and his partner had been investigating an illegally parked car when one of the car passengers, Guy Rivera, had shot Diller under his ballistic vest. Dinner’s partner had fired back and had ended up wounding Rivera.

On Saturday Adams stated that even after Diller was shot he had fought back and had managed to disarm Rivera. As he argued, Diller’s actions had helped to make arrests and had saved lives.
