(FixThisNation.com) – White House spokesman Ian Sams had told White House reporters that it was time for them to “move on” from the controversial report released by Special Counsel Robert Hur which dealt with President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents. This statement was made only hours before the House Judiciary Committee hearing during which Hur provided his testimony.

Sams told reporters that the most important thing for them to take away from the hearing is that the case was closed. He argued that they needed to move on and that currently, the GOP was just attempting to make the case a bigger deal than it was. As he pointed out this was an attempt by the GOP to politically attack the President and that it was obvious that this was part of their efforts to assist former President Donald Trump with his 2024 presidential campaign. This attempt was dubbed by Sams as a “failure.”

Sams also revealed that Biden had received updates about the hearing and that he was following the developments. He further noted that Biden believed that the case was over and that it was necessary for the American people to move forward.

On Tuesday during the hearing both Democrats and Republicans had asked various questions regarding the report, questioning Hur on his decision to not recommend charges. Hur was also slammed for his assessment that the President was an “elderly man” who had memory problems.

Sams had also told reporters during his statement that the case had been closed and that the evidence did not support the idea of bringing forward charges. He had also argued that it was time for them to move on.
