(FixThisNation.com) – During his Ohio campaign stop, former President Donald Trump thanked those who had taken part in the U.S. Capitol attack.

The announcer during the Buckeye Values PAC rally called for all participants to rise in honor of the “January 6 hostages.” Trump proceeded to salute while the crowd stood up. The National Anthem rendition from the “J6 Hostages’ song” also started to play. The song by the J6 Prison Choir which features Trump’s voice is called “Justice for All.”

A video from the rally was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter by Journalist Aaron Rupar. Since its posting the video quickly amassed more than 200,000 views and received over 170 comments.

Following this display Trump had started his speech by thanking all the rioters and referring to them as “unbelievable patriots.” He then proceeded to thank everyone for recognizing the spirit of the “hostages.”

Over 1,265 individuals, including Trump, have faced charges by the Department of Justice over their role in the deadly riot that had taken place on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol. Many of them have already been convicted for these charges and are already serving their sentences.

The leader of “Make America Great Again” has been accused of having incited the insurrection after he repeatedly pushed the unfounded false allegations that the 2020 presidential election had been stolen because of widespread voter fraud.

Last year former President Donald Trump had been indicted on four counts by the Justice Department. The charges against him include obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; conspiracy against rights; conspiracy to defraud the United States; and conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding.
