(FixThisNation.com) – On Wednesday Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) criticized President Biden over the classified documents that were found in his old private office and his Delaware home which date back to the Obama administration.
DeSantis is widely speculated to be one of the potential Republican presidential candidates in 2024. During a recent press conference, DeSantis pointed out that the handling of Biden’s case was completely hypocritical, especially when compared to former President Trump’s situation where the FBI raided his home. During the raid, the FBI found hundreds of classified documents being held in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
In the press conference, DeSantis stated that the Democrats were all of a sudden acting as if the whole case is not a big deal making it appear as if the two political parties have to follow different rules.
The Florida governor also recalled how critical President Biden had been of the discovery of classified documents in Trump’s possession, which as he had noted went against the Presidential Records Act requirements. And yet now, it has been discovered that he had classified documents “stashed behind his Corvette.” This is a clear reference to the second batch of documents which was discovered in a storage space in Biden’s garage in his Delaware home.
DeSantis was also critical of the fact that Hunter Biden, the president’s son appeared to have had access to the house in Delaware which adds to the security risks surrounding the mishandled documents. House Republicans have already started investigations into President Biden and Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
