(FixThisNation.com) – Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to blast GOP candidate Mazi Pilip over her loss in the New York special election for the House Seat that had previously been held by ousted Representative George Santos. Democrat Tom Suozzi managed to flip the seat.
Trump in his post argued that Pilip was a “foolish woman” as she had not endorsed him. He added that Republicans did not appear to learn despite the fact that in the primaries he has a close to 99 percent Endorsement Success Rate and a high success rate in the General Election. However, despite this, Pilip opted not to endorse Trump and lost a race that she could have easily won if she understood how things worked. He added that this was all about “MODERN DAY politics in America.”
Nassau County legislator Pilip had originally registered in 2012 as a Democrat before eventually switching to the Republican party. This is something that Trump also mentioned in his post as he questioned whether she was still a Democrat.
During her entire campaign, Pilip opted to keep some distance from the former President and even argued that if the former President is convicted of a crime then she would not be supporting him.
The 2024 Republican front-runner had gone on to argue that his supporters would not have gone out to vote in the special election race, despite the fact that the suburb had attracted big investments from both parties and how the race is viewed as a possible indication of what will happen in the Presidential election.
