(FixThisNation.com) – On Friday, Norm Eisen, the former White House ethics head, called former President Donald Trump “dumb” after he claimed that he had close to $500 million in cash. Trump had made the statement after his legal team had indicated that they were not able to secure a $454 million bond in the New York civil fraud case.

Eisen argued that this was “so dumb” and that he could not claim there was hardship in order to get a stay on the order. He added in his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) could not “help herself” to Trump’s assets and even this money that he was referring to in his Truth Social Post.

Trump in his Truth Social post had claimed that he had managed to get close to $500 million in cash through his talent and hard work and that he would be using the majority of that money for his presidential campaign.

Nick Akerman, former assistant special Watergate prosecutor, slammed Trump for his post arguing that this was the “dumbest thing he could have possibly done” as he had admitted to having money.

On Monday Trump has to pay the bond in the civil fraud case if he wants to meet the deadline set. However, his attorneys have stated that after spending hours trying to secure the bond they had found it was nearly impossible to get an insurance company to consider a bond for that amount.
