(FixThisNation.com) – Republican Presidential candidate Chris Christie stated in a recent interview that both President Biden and former President Donald Trump were past their “sell-by date.”
On Saturday the New York Times released an op-ed by Maureen Dowd who asked Christie what his opinion was on those who had questioned whether Biden’s age affected his ability to be effective in office. President Biden, 80, is the oldest U.S. president in history, which has resulted in many people questioning whether his mental and physical health will allow him to effectively win a reelection campaign and serve in office for another term.
In response Christie stated that Biden was “beyond his sell-by date” he then proceeded to include Trump in this statement by claiming that he was also past his date. He argued that Biden’s family needed to allow him to just go home, and questioned whether they are motivated to keep pushing him by love or “grift.”
He also revealed that Trump’s latest insults have not fazed or affected him at all. He further commented on the former governor’s comments about his weight and his nickname “Sloppy Chris Christie.” As he noted it was interesting to have these comments come from Trump who is “no Adonis.” As he claimed it was funny to see the way in which Trump viewed himself, especially since Trump had once revealed to Christie that the reason he tied his ties in such a way was because it slenderized him. Trump had then insinuated that Christie should do the same thing.
