(FixThisNation.com) – Former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Michael Steele slammed former President Donald Trump for not being willing to admit that he had lost the 2020 presidential election. He added that he was afraid of potentially losing the next election in November as this would be a big hit on his ego.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Weekend,” Steele argued that Trump was scared of losing because it strikes at his core and at the thing that’s most important to him, which is his ego. He pointed out that Trump did not actually want to do the work in order to win, and that instead he just wanted to bully people into having certain opinions about the electoral system instead of having to go out and properly campaign in the same way that normal candidates would do.

Steele’s comments came after an interview with Trump where he had not confirmed that he would be accepting the results of the November election in Wisconsin. Instead, Trump argued that he would accept the results if “everything’s honest.”

Steele had opposed this statement arguing that the United States elections were secure. He continued by stating that Trump thinks that the only past election to have been corrupt is the one he lost. Trump falsely told the Milwaukee Journal that he had been the winner of the 2020 election in Wisconsin.

Trump, who has continued to claim there is widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, has also declined to commit to accepting the election results.
